Fourteen years of corporate communications and strategy experience as an individual consultant and eleven years of similar experience while employed by corporations. Helped found a successful open standards development organization. Emphasis in the last 16 years on defining and implementing marketing strategies to promote an industry and to promote industry cooperation. Ongoing senior consultant role in an industry standards development organization. In 2007, founded YourEnergyOptions, Inc., a social networking and referral website to promote local clean energy market development in the US and Canada.
Goals: Promote open standards for the smart grid, continue to support the OGC as a consultant, and find a partner for YourEnergyOptions.

OGC now has over 380 corporate, government and university members from 39 countries.

With help from daughters Caitlin and Emily McKee, conceived and designed a unique social networking and local market development website for clean energy. Funded the site development and formed a company. Currently seeking a partner to manage the website.

Left VP position at OGC to start Mosaicad. Invented, patented and built a web-based CAD/CAM system for designing and producing ceramic tile mosaics. Won customers, obtained financing and built the business. The business was not profitable after a year and further financing was not available. Sold assets to investor.

Interests    

Renewable energy and energy efficiency and their relationship to environmental, social and economic issues. A founder of the Worcester Clean Energy Campaign (formerly Sustainable Worcester) discussion and advocacy group. Co-organizer of Worcester's successful Step It Up! 2007 event and a 2008 Focus the Nation climate action teach-in at South High School in Worcester. Vice president and past president of the Tatnuck Brook Watershed Association. Member and formerly a director of the Worcester area Regional Environmental Council (REC). Former editor of the REC newsletter. With my nephew, designed and built in public spaces two mosaic covered fountains ( one solar powered ) that depict the hydrology and history of the Blackstone River Watershed.
